*Eva Mendes, 31, has checked into a rehab center in Utah to deal with issues relating to substance abuse. A statement from her rep explained Friday: "Eva has been working hard for the past year and made a positive decision to take some much-needed time off to proactively attend to some personal issues that, while not critical, she felt deserved some outside professional support." The actress was also announced on Friday as the new face of Calvin Klein's Fall 2008 fragrance campaign. In a statement addressing Mendes' rehab announcement, Calvin Klein said: "We support Eva during this difficult time and respect her decision to seek professional help."

       *Diddy's "Making the Band 4" fellas have finally chosen a name. During a visit to Philly's Power 99 radio station, the group – Brian Andrews, Mike McCluney, Robert Curry, Qwanell Mosley, and Willie Taylor –are now officially known as Day 26, a possible reference to the 26th day of August in 2007, when Diddy formally revealed the group memers. Watch Day 26, Danity Kane and Donnie record their respective albums on Diddy's new season of "Making the Band 4," which premiered last week and airs Mondays at 10 p.m. on MTV.

       *DirecTV's exclusive entertainment channel The 101 will air an episode of "Rock and A Hard Place" featuring Sheila E. vs. the Pointers Sisters on Feb. 6 at 10 p.m. The game show pits bands against each other Family Feud style. Half of the questions are about rock and roll, the other half about pop culture.
