Reckless Kelly

Austin, TX. (Top40 Charts/ Sugarhill) - Roots-rock quintet Reckless Kelly is playing sold-out and standing-room-only shows at venues in all four corners of the Lone Star State between recording sessions for its next studio album, due out in early summer.

The new record of original material - which band members say will taste more like rock - will have the indie-rock touch of celebrated producer R.S. Field upon it. He's worked with John Mayall, Allison Moorer, Brent Sumner, Sonny Landreth, Scott Miller and Mando Saenz among others.

Reckless Kelly - lead singer-songwriter-guitarist Willy Braun, brother Cody Braun on fiddle, mandolin, harmonica and vocals, lead guitarist David Abeyta, bassist Jimmy McFeeley and drummer Jay Nazz - has been gearing up for recording for months, writing and rehearsing.

While loyal fans wait eagerly for the new disk, the band's seventh album, they can get a fix of Reckless Kelly's heart-pounding, high-caliber live shows that move lovers of the band's Americana blend of country, rock and folk to dance. "Passing Through" and "One False Move" are two new cuts penned by chief songwriter Willy Braun that particularly feed audiences' fervor.

Reckless Kelly makes a two-night stand at Gruene Hall in New Braunfels on February 15-16, and it plays Billy Bob's Texas in Fort Worth on February 22.
