Brooklyn rapper Uncle Murda, best known for his highly publicized beef with fellow rapper Papoose, was reportedly shot in the head with a 'cheap bullet' on Tuesday, January 22 in Brooklyn, New York.

Murda called in to Wendy Williams' radio show, the NY based WBLS, and said that he was recovering just fine, also noting that he is using "Hennessey and Newports" to rehabilitate. The rapper is currently signed to Roc-A-Fella Records and is planning on having his new album, which is yet to be titled, released in stores sometime this year. When asked about the shooting, Murda's manager exclaimed "The police know about as much as you know, nothin', Uncle Murda don't deal with no police, he deals with the streets. We don't talk to the police." "Though someone may have tried to kill him, it's business as usual for the rapper. He's in the studio every night, just like he always is and didn't stop recording until the wee hours of this morning." He continued. Although it is still unknown who commited the crime, Murda has a gut feeling about a possible suspect. "If anybody, I think it may have been the NYPD. But whoever it was that did it, they missed because I didn't even know I was hit. One of my crew told me that my face was bleeding and took me to the hospital. They said I still have a bullet in my head and if I'm sexually active it will fall out."
