Queen Bee has parted ways with her longtime label, Atlantic Records, to release her upcoming album independently.

Last week, during an interview on 'Streetsweeper Radio", Kim said she has no ill feelings towards Atlantic. She also said she's releasing on an independent now because she trusts her knowledge in the music business enough to work on her own project.

Lil Kim recently came back to the rap world with her latest mixtape with DJ WHOO KID entitled "Ms. G.O.A.T".

Originally slated to drop in February, her upcoming untitled album, has been set for a release in April or May 2008.

Rumor has it Kim will join Imperial Records which also hosts another New York MC, Fat Joe.

It makes you wonder will they join forces for a few tracks, maybe even a diss track towards Fat Joe's longtime enemy and Kim's new enemy, Remy Ma, who just recently dissed both of them on a track entitled Doo Wop.
