Actor Brad Renfro’s ex-girlfriend refuses to believe the troubled actor died of a drug overdose.

The Client star had a history of drug-related issues, but his former girlfriend, Rachele Leeper, insists autopsy reports will show he died of more natural causes.

Leeper, who dated Renfro on and off for six years until last year, reveals the 25-year-old actor had turned his back on his staple drugs cocaine and heroin before he passed away in his sleep last week.

Leeper says, "I don’t have the coroner’s report, but, from what I was told by family members, he died in his sleep - it wasn’t because he had been partying from drugs or anything.

"I can’t say about whether drinking was involved, but I can say that it wasn’t drugs (that were the cause of death)."
