Female rapper, Missy Elliott, hasn't really been around much since she dropped her last album in 2005, titled The Cookbook.
Sure, she showed up on Keyshia Cole's single, "Let It Go," but besides that and a few other appearances, she's been absent from the scene.
The wait is over. Missy recently resurfaced with two new songs -- "Ching-A-Ling" and "Shake Your Pom Pom," both of which will appear on Atlantic's forthcoming "Step Up 2 the Streets" and her new solo album expected the first quarter of this year.
Already, she's making an impact. "Ching-A-Ling" has debuted at no. 52 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.
And according to Billboard, the rapper/producer plans to reunite with Timbaland for her as-yet-titled new album, which is tentatively slated for May.
