A friend of Christina’s revealed: 'She is still really sore as a result of her scheduled C-section. It was more painful than she thought.'

Although it is taking some time for the 27-year-old singer to recover from the birth, she is already using her musical talents to bond with Max.

The source added to entertainment network E!: 'Her voice is fine. She is already singing to Max.'

Meanwhile, it has been claimed Christina and Jordan have turned down a $1 million deal with America’s OK! magazine for an exclusive photo shoot with their newborn son.

Shortly after Max entered the world, the 'Come On Over Baby' singer decorated her official website with blue balloons and wrote: "Today is a very joyful and special day for Jordan and I as we welcome our first son into this world.

"In honour of our love for each other and our growing family, I have put together a special video for the song 'Save Me from Myself' off my 'Back to Basics' album. This video is very dear to me as it includes actual footage from our personal wedding video!
