Elijah Wood

Elijah Wood is desperate to sign up to the planned prequels to the Lord of the Rings trilogy so he can revive his most famous role.

The actor played hobbit FRODO BAGGINS in the hit movie series and is keen to be a part of any further additions to the movie franchise.

Plans are currently underway to start filming The Hobbit - JRR Tolkien’s first novel - with rumors of a second prequel to follow.

But Wood’s character does not feature in the story of The Hobbit, but the star hopes there will be a way of including him in the movie.

He says, "If I’m asked to go back and revisit that character, I would love to. I would absolutely love it.

"If he (Frodo) should show up, it would be the perfect way to revisit because it could be small enough that I could go back and have a nice sort of reunion with the memories that I have of that experience."
