JENNIFER LOVE HEWITT is quietly relieved she won’t have to attend the cancelled Golden Globe Awards ceremony on Sunday (13Jan08) - because it gives her a chance to celebrate her new fiancé’s birthday.

The actress feared she’d have to spend boyfriend Ross McCall’s big day at the Globes, and when the ongoing Hollywood writers strike prompted the glitzy show’s cancellation, she was one actress who was more than happy.

She says, "Now I can go to dinner with my fiancé and hang out."
