SALMA HAYEK will play a bearded lady at a circus freak show in her first film as a new mum.

The Mexican actress took time off last year (07) to become a mother and now she’s planning her return to the big screen,opposite John C. Reilly in horror drama Cirque du Freak.

Reilly will play a vampire magician in the quirky movie, to be directed by Paul Weitz.

The movie is an adaptation of a 12-book series by children’s author Darren Shan.

Hayek gave birth to baby daughter Valentina in September (07).
