Actor Michael K. Williams, better known as ruthless gay thug Omar on HBO's "The Wire," found himself unable to get into the premiere party of his own show Friday night because security was tripping.
According to the New York Post Page's Six, Williams brought eight male friends to the party at Le Royale on Leroy Street in New York, but was told by the doorman that not all of them were allowed inside.
"The doorman told him he couldn't let a big group in, but could let in two people," according to a witness. An agitated Williams said, "All of us need to get in," and one of his friends declared, "This is Michael from 'The Wire' and this is 'The Wire' party."
Their pleas fell on deaf ears, prompting Williams and his crew to leave, stating, "Fine, we'll just go to The Plumm."
"The Wire" just premiered its fifth and final season on Sunday night.
