Actor SAM RILEY has turned down a string of lucrative movie offers because he is determined to wait for the right part to come along.

The Control star, whose portrayal of late Joy Division frontman Ian Curtis has earned him a string of awards nominations, has been approached for several major blockbusters - but he insists he will choose his next role carefully.

He says, "I’ve had offers, crazy offers, more money than I’ve ever been used to, or come close to, but even though it’s tempting I just want to wait."
