British scientist STEPHEN HAWKING will host a new TV show teaching viewers about the universe.

Stephen Hawking: Master of the Universe will be aired by TV network Channel 4 in March (08).

The show will attempt to educate viewers about scientific concepts and explain theories including String Theory and Supersymmetry in plain English.

A source tells British newspaper the Sun, "Stephen is brimming with theories about why the universe exits and we're all here.

"But many people don't connect with his work as it can seem so complicated.

He will explain it himself in very straightforward language."
