Nate Dogg

Singer Nate Dogg, known for gracing the hook of almost every single a few years ago (before Akon and T-Pain took that spot), was recently hospitalized in California.

As first reported by MediaTakeOut.com, Nate Dogg (real name: Nathaniel Hale) was treated at the Pomona Valley Hospital over the holidays, but was not confirmed since their initial rumor.

Sohh.com has since made the confirmation with a rep from the hospital who revealed that the singer was indeed admitted, and in fact, was confined to a hospital bed for nearly eight days -- from December 19th until December 26th when he was released.

Although the rep did not reveal the details of his stay, it was rumored Nate had suffered a stroke.

It is not immediately known how Nate Dogg is doing today. Attempts at contacting his camp were to no avail at press time.

Nate Dogg's voice was first heard on Dr. Dre's 1992 classic, The Chronic, which led to the release of his hit single, "Regulate," with Warren G.

Since his beginning he has worked with some of the biggest stars in the industry including Ludacris, 50 Cent, Eminem and Dr. Dre, among others.

To date, the singer has released four solo albums, via Interscope and Elektra Records, and one Greatest Hits collection.
