Singer KELLY ROWLAND has blamed late-night calls home for her collapse on stage in Africa in the summer.

The 26-year-old star was rushed to hospital after collapsing onstage midway through a performance in Lagos, Nigeria, in July (07), blaming dehydration for her collapse.

But Rowland now believes her cellphone was to blame.

She explains, "I was exhausted. Not only that, but the time difference threw me off and I was jet-lagged.

"And I stayed up all night on the phone."
