Jude Law's New Year's resolution is to play the piano like Coldplay's Chris Martin.
See Also:The 'Sleuth' star, who can already play the saxophone, harmonica and guitar, is desperate to become an amazing pianist because he is "rubbish" at playing the other instruments. He told BANG Showbiz: "I don't usually make New Year's resolutions because I try and have resolutions and ambitions all through the year. "You know what, though, I don't know whether I'll be able to accomplish this next year but I've always wanted to learn a musical instrument well. "I play a few badly - the harmonica, saxophone and guitar - but I'm rubbish at all of them. "I'd like to be able to play like Chris Martin, who I admire an awful lot." Jude's ambition for 2007 was achieved when he produced and starred in a re-make of 1972 film 'Sleuth' alongside Sir Michael Caine. The original movie saw Caine play a young man who is having an affair with the wife of an older successful writer, portrayed by screen legend Laurence Olivier. He said: "I had dinner with Michael and asked him to star in a remake of 'Sleuth', but this time with me playing his old part and him switching to the role originally played by Olivier. "To have Michael agree, and then get Kenneth Branagh to direct definitely fulfilled my ambition for this year."
