Fresh off his release from Def Jam Records, New Jersey MC Joe Budden has announced a new deal with Boston based label Amalgam Digital. Through the agreement, Joe will release a retail version of his latest highly anticipated mixtape Mood Muzik 3, in its entirety and without DJ voiceovers. Mood Muzik 3: The Album is scheduled for a February 26 release, and will serve as a prelude for Joe’s next project, an album called Padded Room, which will also be distributed through the digital only label. “With the Mood Muzik series gaining mass attention, this is just our effort to maximize on awareness,” Joey said in a statement announcing the partnership. “Amalgam understands our vision, as we do theirs, so this will be first of many ventures to come. We have a full length album entitled Padded Room coming second quarter 2008.” An advanced variation of Mood Muzik 3: The Album, called Mood Muzik 3.5, features two special bonus tracks and is currently available for purchase at Amalgam’s website.
