ALESHA DIXON

Former MIS-TEEQ singer ALESHA DIXON has credited British TV show STRICTLY COME DANCING with saving her life.

The pretty pop star, who danced her way to the top prize on the hit TV show on Saturday (22Dec07) night, claims to have been on the verge of suicide last Christmas (06) before getting the offer to star on the hit reality show.

Her all-time low came on discovering her husband, ex-So Solid Crew member MC Harvey, was cheating on her with pop pal Javine Hylton. Days later, she was dropped by her record company.

The 29-year-old tells British newspaper The Sun, "It was the lowest point of my life. I just kept thinking, ‘What have I done to deserve this?' I didn't see the point in living."

But now she is Britain's favorite celebrity dancer, her outlook has completely changed. She says, "Look at me now. I've learned to dance, I'm happy and I believe it was meant to happen."

Dixon is said to be in talks to land a major role in West End musical Chicago.
