Public Enemy front man Chuck D and Baton Rouge MC Lil Boosie are scheduled to take part in an upcoming tribute concert honoring the late James Brown.
Organized by legendary funk musician Bootsy Collins, the first annual James Brown Tribute Concert will be held at the Madison Theater in Covington, Ky on December 22. Brown passed away on Christmas Day 2006.
According to Billboard.com, the two rappers will join Collins, rock guitarist Buckethead and Brown's original band The Soul Generals for performances honoring the Godfather of Soul.
Proceeds from the show will go towards rebuilding Brown's early Cincinnati based record label, King Records, and establishing a museum.
Collins told Billboard that he plans on making the show an annual event.
