Singer/actress JESSICA SIMPSON is hoping to emulate the Oscar-winning career of Hollywood star JULIA ROBERTS.

The star is desperate to reprise the role of prostitute Vivian Ward, the character made famous by Roberts in the 1990 movie Pretty Woman - and is convinced her next big screen outing will be a success.

A source tells U.S. magazine OK!, "She think this one’s got hit written all over it. (Her father) Joe has been telling anyone who will listen that she’s the next Julia Roberts."
