Country sensation TAYLOR SWIFT celebrated her 18th birthday on Thursday (13Dec07) by registering to vote - in her pyjamas.

The Grammy-nominated Tim McGraw singer admits it was the first thing she did when she woke up.

She reveals, "I did it online in my pyjamas." Swift also found time to celebrate her landmark birthday with pal Kellie Pickler and Big & Rich star John Rich.

At the Nashville, Tennessee party, the singer’s record label president presented her with a pink Chevy truck, according to People magazine.

But Swift told the publication her dream was to be number one on her 18th birthday - something she achieved earlier this week (beg10Dec07) by taking Our Song to the top of the Billboard Country Singles chart.
