Rapper WYCLEF JEAN has been mistaken for WILL.I.AM so many times, he wants to record an album with the BLACK EYED PEAS star.

Wyclef has even come up with a quirky publicity campaign - the two can pretend to be each other.

The former Fugees singer is certain many reporters would have no idea the pair had swapped places.

He says, "When I wear my hat, I’m always mistaken for will.i.am. He does look like one of my brothers. "I told him, `We need to do a record where I’m telling people I’m will.i.am and you’re telling people you’re Clef.’"
