Fans may have had to wait seven years for the last Smashin Pumpkin’s album but it seems the next one may arrive a lot quicker.
The band have revealed that they are currently holed up in the studio recording following the end of their mammoth bout of touring through 2007.
Writing on their official website Jimmy Chamberlain announced: “The tour was a rock rampage and now we are back in the studio recording some songs for a possible release worldwide.

That headline is so misleading. Never does it say NEW YEARS DAY. Seriously, I was let down. I already read JC's blog, but nowhere does it say New Years DAY!
