Country star SARA EVANS will always be a waitress in her mind, despite her hugely successful music career.

The 36-year-old used to wait tables before she hit the big time, and insists she was good - even if she did sometimes dump coffee over her customers.

She says, "I’m a country singer but I’m a waitress at heart. I love to wait tables, I did it forever - the morning shift, (pouring) coffee. "It’s just awesome. I love socialising with people. "Sometimes people are rude. One time I spilled an entire tray of coffee - a pot of regular and a pot of decaf - on this old man in a wheelchair. And he was rude to me after that."
