Los Angeles (E! Online) - Here's something to sing about: Rosanne Cash sailed through her brain surgery.
Related Videos:The eldest offspring of the late Johnny Cash underwent brain surgery last month to correct a benign but rare structural problem. On Wednesday, her rep announced she is expected to make a complete recovery. "Rosanne is back home recovering comfortably from her surgery, which took place on Nov. 27," reads a message on the Grammy winner's Website. "She extends thanks and appreciation for all the love, good wishes, prayers and kindness." The 52-year-old announced last month that she had would have a procedure at New York-Presbyterian Hospital to correct a structural defect. The condition, a congenital deformation of the skull known as Chiari I Malformation, affected the part of her brain that controls balance. At the time, Cash assured fans that the condition, while rare, was not life-threatening. She also cleared her calendar, canceling the remainder of her Black Cadillac: In Concert tour. Although it's unclear if she plans on rescheduling the four nixed dates, she is scheduled to kick off the second leg of her tour in Tampa Mar. 3. In addition, the singer, who has scored 11 country number ones, is expected to head back into the studio after the holidays to resume recording on her new, as-yet untitled album, which will mark her debut on the EMI-based label Manhattan Records. Cash will also devote some time in the new year to writing a new book, which will be published by Viking sometime in 2009.
