WILL SMITH has formally apologised for disruption he caused to New Yorkers while shooting new movie I AM LEGEND on the streets of Manhattan.
Numerous streets and Brooklyn Bridge were closed off in the city for periods between October 2006 and April 2007 as the epic about the last man alive was put together - resulting in chaos. Returning to the city for Tuesday night’s (11Dec07) New York premiere, Smith took the opportunity to say sorry.
He says, "I would like to issue a public apology to the citizens of New York. There were a couple of streets we had to close off during the filming of I Am Legend. "I am very sorry. People were kind of upset with me."
