Multi-tasking singer T-Pain helped make certain the Walker Ford Community Center was able to re-open last Friday (Dec. 7). The youth center located in his native Tallahassee, FL benefited from a $20,000 makeover courtesy of funds generated by a concert he preformed. According to the Tallahassee Democrat, T-Pain, then best known as Faheem Najm, used to spend time at the center. "This is the first time that somebody has come back and done something for us," the center's assistant supervisor Ya Shica D'Angelo told the TD. She said T-Pain's assistance was much needed. "We could have never had the money to do this... This gives the teenagers a place of their own."

Rapper Big Boi announced that he's doing it big Harry Potter style, releasing the first single from his next opus, Sir Luscious Left Foot, at midnight on Dec. 31. "I'm very excited about it, and we just putting it [the album] together right now. I plan on releasing a single on Dec. 31 at midnight going into the New Year, ‘cause I want all the stuff to be '08, everything to be brand new," he told Vibe.com. "It's going to be a lot of surprises. We just really trying to bring that [good] music back." So far he's completed 9 out of the 12 planned tracks, working with Organized Noize. He also said that fans should expect a solo release from his partner-in-rhyme, Andre 3000. But the CDs will not be packaged together like Speakerboxx/Love Below. "We're going to give it to [fans] separate. I'm going to do mine, Dre's going to do his, then we're going to put the Outkast record out after that."

Fresh off a European tour, Singer Bobby Valentino carried on tradition yesterday (Dec. 10) at the Sullivan Center in Atlanta, GA with his non-profit's annual holiday giveaway. For the past two years, The Bobby Valentino Foundation - established to offer life guidance to disadvantaged children - has handed out food and toys. V-Tino himself donated his time to 15 local families adopted by his organization. Valentino is also launching a series of webisodes today, titled "Underground Love" after the name of his new album slated for early '08 release. The "BV TV" will be available through Dec. 22 at www.justbobby.com.
