Days after announcing their new comedy project with VH1, Keenen Ivory, Shawn and Marlon Wayans are in the headlines again with the announcement of a new spoof movie that targets the cop/action genre.
The three brothers have already written the script and will also star in the picture, reports Daily Variety. Additionally, the trio will produce the untitled film for Paramount Pictures alongside longtime producing partner Rick Alvarez.
Keenen has signed on to direct the project, which will spoof cop films in the vein of the "Scary Movie" franchise that sends up horror flicks. The Wayans brothers' four "Scary Movie" entries have earned more than $420 million domestically for Dimension Films.
The threesome most recently inked a deal with VH1 for their scripted comedy "The Life and Times of Marcus 'Felony' Brown," which follows a hard core, East Coast rapper who moves with his entourage to Los Angeles after his career suddenly takes off.
