LATEST: Rapper BOW WOW has been diagnosed with an appendix affection - just days after he was rushed to hospital suffering from what doctors determined to be stress and exhaustion.

The hip hop star, 20, was taken to hospital following a concert in Cincinnati, Ohio, last Thursday (06Dec07), but his record label Sony promised fans he'd be back in action once he'd recuperated.

However, it now transpires his symptoms were not caused by the strain of his sold-out tour with Sean Kingston and Chris Brown, but an infection of his appendix, reports AllHipHop.com.

Bow Wow is expected to return to the stage on 13 December (07) in Memphis, Tennessee.
