SYLVESTER STALLONE feared for his life while shooting the new RAMBO movie in Asia after the crew was caught up in a "horrifying" crossfire between two warring nations.

The Hollywood star was filming scenes for the fourth installment of the action franchise on the war-torn border of Thailand and Myanmar when opposition armies started firing at each other.

Stallone and his crew ignored death threats to locate production in the hazardous area - and the repercussions were nearly fatal.

He says, "There were a lot of people trying to dissuade us from filming there. We had shots fired above our heads. "We were told we could get seriously hurt if we went on. It was horrifying. This is a hellhole beyond your wildest dreams."
