*Halle Berry will have to clear room on the mantle for another trophy. The Palm Spring Film Festival has announced it will honor the actress with its Desert Palm Achievement Award during a ceremony scheduled for Jan. 5, reports Variety.
"We're excited to honor Halle Berry for her impressive body of work and mesmerizing performance in this year's 'Things We Lost in the Fire,'" said Fest chairman Earl Greenburg,
Actor Daniel Day-Lewis will also be honored during the ceremony. Both join past recipients Charlize Theron, Laura Linney, Naomi Watts and Kate Winslet.
Mary Hart will host the gala, which will also recognize "Into the Wild" director Sean Penn, producer Jerry Weintraub and actors Marion Cotillard, Emile Hirsch and Nikki Blonsky.
