*Just call her the Teflon Don. Within the span of a week, Vivica A. Fox managed to avoid a bench warrant as well as jail time in her DUI case stemming from a March arrest in Los Angeles.
The actress agreed to plead no contest to a misdemeanor count of driving with a blood-alcohol level over the legal limit of .08. In exchange, she will receive three years probation and must attend a 90-day alcohol education program. She must also pay a $390 fine, said city attorney's spokesman Frank Mateljan.
As part of the plea deal, prosecutors dropped a charge of misdemeanor driving under the influence, which carries a maximum penalty of six months in jail.
The 43-year-old former "Dancing With the Stars" contestant was pulled over in California's San Fernando Valley after her 2007 Cadillac Escalade sped past a California Highway Patrol car, according to a CHP report. She failed a series of sobriety tests, the report said.
Last week, a judge threatened to issue a warrant for Fox's arrest after she failed to show up at a precinct to be booked. She was given a deadline to appear, which she met days later.
