ASHLEE SIMPSON

Superproducer Timbaland has been credited with reviving Ashlee Simpson's music career by collaborating with the singer on her next single.

Simpson's new song Out Of My Head has been winning rave reviews in the U.S. and looks set to give the singer a much-needed boost for her forthcoming album.

Her 2004 debut Autobiography stormed the U.S. charts, debuting at number one and selling over 2.5 million copies.

However her 2006 follow-up, I Am Me, failed to live up to the success of her previous work, selling less than half the amount of copies. And the 23-year-old hopes her new LP, due for release in March next year (08), will be helped by Timbaland's influence.

She says, "It's mainly a fun, dancey song. It's got an 80's feel to it. But, at the same time, it's Timbaland."
