TINA FEY CALLS PAULA ABDUL'S 'SNL' GIG 'A DISASTER': '30 Rock' star dishes about overall demeanor; 'American Idol' sketch.

*Paula Abdul's 2005 guest-hosting appearance on "Saturday Night Live" is discussed at length by former writer and cast member Tina Fey in the latest issue of Playboy magazine.

"I was pregnant at the time and probably a little moody, but I remember thinking, 'She's a disaster! I gotta prop this lady up and get her on TV,'" said the "30 Rock" star.

When asked how Abdul was a disaster, Fey responded: "In the ways she generally appears to be. It was an 'American Idol' sketch, and she wanted to change parts. So Amy Poehler had to play her."

"A year later I saw her on a flight," Fey adds. "We both looked at each other like, 'Do I know that girl?' And then we both had the same moment of recognition, and she was like 'uuuggh.' I saw it register on her face that she had had a terrible time with us."
