*Emotions were high at FedEx Field on Sunday before the Washington Redskins took their home field against the Buffalo Bills without No. 21, Sean Taylor.

For the first play of the game, the Redskins defense took the field with 10 men instead of 11 - in recognition of Taylor's absence. During a pregame video shown in Taylor's memory, Redskins defensive end Phillip Daniels said: "The only way we can honor him right now is to go out there on the field and play. Go out and play football." Stadiums across the country held a moment of silence for Taylor; all helmets bore a patch with the No. 21. The Skins also wore a No. 21 patch on their jerseys. The Redskins Marching Band wore black hats and used instruments covered with black sleeves while playing a funeral dirge on the field, followed by a slow, mournful rendition of the team's normally peppy theme song, "Hail to the Redskins." On a facade above one end zone, there was a new sign with Taylor's name and uniform number in white writing on a burgundy background, with pictures of black ribbons on each end. The team, struggling to stay afloat in the playoff hunt, would suffer a 17-16 loss after the Bills came from behind in the final seconds. About an hour and a half after the game, a public viewing for Sean Taylor began at the Second Baptist Church in Richmond Heights, Fla., where Taylor grew up and played Pee-Wee football. Today, the entire team will attend Taylor's funeral in Miami at the Pharmed Arena on the campus of Florida International University at 11 a.m. On Tuesday, the organization begins preparing for a game Thursday night against the Chicago Bears. Meanwhile, all four suspects in the case have now been charged with unpremeditated murder, armed burglary and home invasion with a firearm or another deadly weapon.
