Simple Plan's self-titled new album has been pushed back by two weeks.
See Also:The original release date of January 29th, has no become February 12th (presumably the 11th in the UK). The band write: "Hey guys! You know how we’ve been telling everyone that our new album is coming out on January 29th... well, today we just got a bit of bad news. As we were boarding a plane back home from Singapore, we got an email from our label saying that there’s no way the album can be manufactured in time for our original release date of January 29th. Because of production deadlines, the Christmas holidays and the fact that we went back in the studio to re-work the lyrics of “Generation”, we have no choice than to release the album 2 weeks later. So instead of January 29th, the record will now come out on February 12th. Trust us, we’re all bummed out about it. We’re so excited about the new songs and impatient for you guys to hear them that pushing the record back even one day feels like the worst thing ever. But on this one, we don’t have a choice. We’re really sorry about this and we hope you guys understand. You have been so patient and supportive of the band, we just want to thank you again for waiting over 3 years for new songs. At this point, 2 more weeks is not the end of the world right?? Please don’t hate us... ok? To compensate, we’re gonna be posting a whole bunch of updates on the album really soon. We will reveal the album cover here on sp.com in the next few days, we should have the final version of the “When I’m Gone” video in about a week and all kinds of other cool details about the record. So keep checking the site and I promise Pat will have tons of stuff for you. Thanks again for understanding. Hope to see you guys at the shows in december! Pierre, Chuck, David, Sebastien and Jeff."
