The sister of Southern super producer, Mannie Fresh, was murdered in her New Orleans home on Wednesday night (November 28). According to local news station WWLTV, 42-year-old Angela Bryant was found dead early Thursday, while her 1998 Lexus was missing. Reports indicate that she was killed between the hours of 10 p.m. and midnight, while her children were in the home. Her husband was reportedly in Atlanta on a trip and returned home Thursday afternoon. Police are seeking her ex-husband for questioning, but have yet to determine a motive in the slaying. ...

In celebration of the 25th anniversary of Michael Jackson's Thriller, Epic/Legacy Records plans to revisit it this upcoming Valentine's Day with a deluxe edition containing unreleased bonus tracks mixed by or featuring Kanye West, Akon, Will.i.am and Jackson himself. According to a press release, the 25th Anniversary Edition, which drops February 12, will feature eight extra tracks -- a fresh Kanye remix of "Billie Jean"; Akon and Will.i.am's new take on "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'"; "The Girl Is Mine" and "P.Y.T." remixes by Will.i.am, the rare unissued song "For All Time," a track from the original recording sessions that has been newly mixed and mastered by MJ; "Someone in the Dark"; "Carousel"; and the original "Billie Jean" demo. It will also be accompanied by a DVD with Jackson's Thriller short films, which have been digitally remastered -- "Thriller," "Beat It" and "Billie Jean." ...

Rodney King was shot early Thursday morning (November 29) in San Bernardino, California police said. According to the San Bernardino County Sun, King was admitted to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton with gunshot wounds to his arm and back area, after he was reported shot while riding his bicycle home. King's videotaped beating at the hands of the officers caused international headlines in 1991. ...

The Wu's Method Man is continuing to rack up credits as an actor with roles on the small and big screens. The rapper is slated to appear on NBC's "Law and Order: Special Victims Unit" in an episode scheduled to air next month, and reprise his role on HBO's "The Wire" when it returns for its fifth and final season in January. In February, he will appear in the New Regency/Fox film "Meet The Spartans," and has also been tapped for the independent feature "The Wackness," starring Ben Kingsley and Mary Kate Olsen.
