dj revolution

I once got the opportunity to meet DJ Revolution when "This or That" dropped. There was an in-store signing at Fat Beats (LA) everyone was there. Sway, Tech and Rev. That was the first time I actually saw Revolution spin live, and he displayed some ill skills.

In my Discman right now is a true gem, a gift to ears from DJ Revolution. R2K, Version 1.0 is the solo debut from The Wake Up Show deejay.

There is a dope line-up on the album. Artists and tracks we all know and love are on this piece: Bad Meets Evil feat. Royce the 5-9 & Eminem, "Scary Movies", Lootpack feat. Dilated Peoples, "Long Awaited", Big L (RIP), "The Heist", Bumpy Knuckles AKA Freddie Foxxx, "A Part Of My Life" and the list goes on through 17 tracks.

Exclusive tracks were put together especially for the album. New shit from Revolution feat. Rasheed & Chief Kamachi, "Forever" (drops on wax 10.5.99), Dr.oop Capone, "Reign" produced by Thes-One of The People Under The Stairs and Other-Wize, "Some Other Ish" produced by M-Boogie. Rev shows his turntablism skills on tracks like "Get Ya Ass Kicked." He also shows that he can collaborate with anyone, even Eric Cartman of South Park. He lets Cartman represent on this cut, it's ill.

DJ Revolution brings forth some ill shit on his debut album R2K, Version 1.0. Make sure you copp this album when it drops (9.28.99) you won't be disappointed.
